Eldringe Lanelle George was born on September 17 in 1976. His proud parents were Lannette Myles-George (Senator for the state of Rysar) and Baldwin George. Eldringe had a routine childhood. He began playing basketball in little league. He played all through out high school and college. He was one of the top high school basketball players when he graduated from high school. He went to Conway Jones College in Rysar to be near his parents and to play with Kalvin Johnson. Eldringe was one of three top high school basketball players in Maddocha that chose to come to Conway Jones College because Kalvin Johnson was playing at the college. The other two players were Daymon Taylor and DC Walker. That year, Conway Jones College went from obscurity to being nationally known. It has often been rumored that there were some impropriety involved in the recruitment of these four players, but it was not so. As Director of Student Athletics at Conway, Carter Johnson, Kalvin Johnson's father made sure that the basketball program was above reproach. None of the newly recruited players, including his son, received scholarships from the college. Each student was awarded scholarships based on the merit by outside foundations. The students lived in the dorms with the rest of the students and the young men received no preferential treatment. DC Walker got a job during the off season to help pay for his education because he was not able to receive a full scholarship for college. Eldringe was drafted 22th in the Maddocha Basketball League Draft in 1995. Eldringe has become one of the premiere forwards of the league. He married his long time girlfriend, Shauna Ramsey. They have two children, a son Lanelle and a daughter Lannette. |
